Supporting Health Through Evidence-Based Prevention
Looking after your health isn't just about treating illness - it's about preventing it. We believe preventive healthcare is one of the most important investments you can make in your long-term wellbeing.
At Terrey Hills Family Surgery, we provide preventive healthcare in line with the RACGP Guidelines for preventive activities in general practice (the Red Book) and other nationally endorsed clinical guidelines. Our approach is based on your individual risk assessment and appropriate screening, rather than a one-size-fits-all model of care.
Preventive care aims to identify health risks early, support timely intervention, and promote long-term health and wellbeing through ongoing general practice care.
Preventive Care May include
Individualised Preventive Care
Preventive activities are selected based on clinical guidelines and your individual circumstances, including your age, sex, medical history and risk profile. Your GP will discuss recommendations with you, so you can make informed decisions and stay engaged in your own healthcare.
Our GPs work in partnership with you to ensure your preventive care is relevant, appropriate and aligned with current evidence-based practice.
Book an appointment with one of our GPs to discuss your preventive healthcare needs and appropriate screening or risk assessment - call us on (02) 9450 1083 or book online.
