MyMedicare is a free, voluntary Australian Government patient registration program that helps strengthen the relationship between patients, their regular GP practice and primary care team.

Registering with MyMedicare helps strengthen the ongoing relationship you have with our practice, supporting more personalised, coordinated healthcare and improved continuity of care over time. 

Your registration with MyMedicare does not stop you from visiting another GP practice when needed. It simply lets Medicare know that Terrey Hills Family Surgery is your usual practice, helping support more personalised and coordinated care.

Who can register?

You may be eligible to register if you:

  • Have a valid Medicare card or Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Veteran Card.
  • Have attended our practice for at least two face-to-face appointments in the previous 24 months (eligibility requirements apply).

If you're unsure whether you're eligible, our friendly reception team will be happy to assist.

How do I register?

Registering is simple and free.

  • Register through your Medicare Online Account via myGov or the Express Plus Medicare app.
  • Ask our reception team to start your registration for you. 
  • Complete a MyMedicare registration form at the practice. 

Once your registration has been completed, you'll nominate Terrey Hills Family Surgery as your preferred regular practice and choose your preferred GP.
