Supporting Healthy Lifestyle Choices
Good health is about more than treating illness - it's about making sustainable lifestyle choices that support your long-term wellbeing. At Terrey Hills Family Surgery, we provide evidence-based lifestyle medicine and weight management support to assist with the prevention and management of chronic health conditions.
Obesity is recognised as a chronic health condition requiring an individualised, long-term approach. Assessment and management involve consideration of multiple factors, including weight history, body composition, waist measurement, metabolic risk factors, medical history, lifestyle factors and your individual health goals.
Our GPs work with you to identify health risks and develop personalised strategies that support improved health, function and wellbeing. Lifestyle interventions complement medical care and are tailored to your circumstances, preferences and current Australian clinical guidelines.
Our Services Include
If you live with a chronic health condition, you may be eligible for a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, which can provide Medicare-subsidised visits to allied health professionals such as dietitians and exercise physiologists. Your GP can discuss your eligibility.
